Cut & Sew Apparel Manufacturing in Ohio

Cut and sew means we build your garment from flat fabric: we cut your pattern, sew every seam, attach every label, and inspect every piece before it ships. It's the core of what Hocking Hills Garment Center does, and it's all done in Buchtel, Ohio by sewists trained in our own industrial sewing school.

What our cut & sew service includes

• Pattern and sample review. We start from your tech pack, pattern, or a reference garment, and flag construction issues before they become production issues.
• Cutting. Fabric relaxation, spreading, and cutting matched to your marker and size run.
• Sewing. One-piece-flow assembly on industrial machines, with stitch type and stitch length chosen for the strength each seam actually needs.
• Finishing. Trimming, pressing, labeling, folding, and packing to your spec, retail-ready if that's what you need.
• Quality control. Inspection is built into every operation, not bolted on at the end. A garment that isn't right gets fixed at the seam where it went wrong.

Why one-piece flow matters for your brand

Most volume factories run "bundle" systems: hundreds of identical sleeve pieces move through a station at once, and defects surface late, in bulk. We run one-piece flow a lean manufacturing method where a single garment travels the line and is handled, seen, and checked by a person at every step.

What we've built this way

Our cut-and-sew floor has produced game jerseys for the Southern Ohio Copperheads, merchandise for the Nelsonville Music Festival and the Ohio Pawpaw Festival, remanufactured denim totes, heirloom merino wool shirts, overalls, and farm-to-garment T-shirt programs using cotton grown in Virginia and knitted in North Carolina.

1. A tech pack, pattern, or reference sample. Any one of these starts the conversation.
2. Your fabric plan, supplying your own, or sourcing with our help.
3. Quantities per style and size, even rough estimates.
4. Your target date, so we can be honest about scheduling.
