The Southern Ohio Copperheads are a collegiate summer-league baseball team based in Athens, Ohio, with a deliberately local mission: keep the team, its fans, and its dollars rooted in Southeast Ohio.

Team uniforms are almost universally imported. For an organization whose identity is local, jerseys stitched anonymously overseas undercut the story every time a player takes the field.
